Our Story

Healing Soles, Inc. was founded in 2017 by Noel Brown. At a young age, Noel demonstrated a passion for giving back and as she grew older she felt a stronger need to help the homeless community. Everyday basic necessities that are often taken for granted, are the very things that someone else may need. After directly serving in the Washington, D.C. community, Noel noticed a consistent request, “Do you have any shoes?” Something that seemed so minimal to her (because she had a closet full of shoes) was a large need in the community that she served.  Immediately, it became evident that the homeless community spends 99% of their time on their feet, walking from place to place, just to survive. In a matter of weeks, she began to raise money and bring awareness of the problem to others in the local community. With that, 150 blessing bags, 100 pairs of socks, 50 blankets, and 10 pairs of shoes began Healing Soles, Inc.
